# Installation

1. Download the plugin from [SpigotMC](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/121873/) or [Modrinth](https://modrinth.com/plugin/homestead-plugin). Ensure the API version is the same as your Minecraft server version.
2. Drag the **.jar** file to your Minecraft server's plugins folder.
3. Make sure that you follow the requirements for the plugin to work.
4. Reload the plugins with the command **/reload**. For a clean startup with no issues, restart the server.

**Warning:** Please note that using older Homestead versions may introduce vulnerabilities. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade the plugin with any new updates to receive security patches.

## Upgrading

If you have previously installed Homestead and want to install a newer version, download the plugin from SpigotMC or Modrinth, and replace the current **.jar** file (located in the "plugins" folder) with the newly downloaded **.jar** file.
